Naomi T. Stal is an attorney that understands the challenges of living in a secular civil world while adhering to traditional Jewish values.
Our attorney not only has experience as a counselor of law, zealous advocate, and mediator but also experience in the problems of Divorce and Gittin on a personal level. Ms. Stal was married with a Ketubah and experienced being an Agunah (a woman whose husband refused to provide a Get to enable her to re-marry) for five years. She learned the hard way that the secular attorneys do not understand the importance of Jewish law and the Jewish attorneys don't always respect the couple and their need for Shalom Bayis.
By using her skills as a mediator, and with the help of the righteous, Rabbi Herman Neuberger (Z"tl), Ms. Stal was able to transform a traumatic experience into an opportunity to dedicate herself to the work of helping Jewish couples keep shalom bayis as they transition from sharing a life to living separate lives.
In particular, Ms. Stal works tirelessly with parents to help create Shalom Bayis for the children of such divorce. Shalom Bayis is not only important in marriage, its as important or more important in Divorce.
Ms. Stal was trained as a transformative mediator in 1997. She graduated from University of Maryland Honors with a double major in Social Work and Community Development and spent two years in Bar Ilan University in Tel Aviv, Israel. Ms. Stal graduated from California Western School of Law in San Diego California and has been a licensed practicing California attorney for eight years. Ms. Stal is also trained in facilitative and evaluative mediation. She is also associated with various Rebbeim in the Los Angeles and Baltimore Jewish communities. The common thread that unites Ms. Stal and her clients is her deep understanding of the pain and suffering that creates havoc on people's lives during the trauma of divorce and her compassion for clients in such times, as well the dedication to torah values.
